The UNE Nor'easters are going through some growing pains and are winless thus far, so Roper, the only Canadian (and only goalie) on the team right now, is seeing more than his fair share of pucks.
'"He's getting 60 shots a game," Holt said.
"Mike's technically sound, which is good because he's getting two, three, four shots in one sequence. I told Mike, though, to hang in there and I will build a team around him.
"He's a big man on campus now, people cannot believe how good he is. Fans are screaming his name the entire time."
